Sweetheart

I never knew that a spider could be beautiful... That is until my boy showed me. He has wanted a Tarantula as a pet for years. I keep thinking he will get over it. Well, he doesn't. We catch spiders in the yard and keep them and he studies them.

We got Sweetheart as a pet . . . here are a couple of new pictures from this weekend...

SPIDERS IN THE HOUSE!!!

This is Buddy! We caught him out in the yard whilst raking fall leaves.
He has been eating like a pig and growing!
He likes flies, cock roaches (tiny ones) and dancing in the moonlight!






































This is Sweetheart. She is a Pink toe tarantula.
I think officially "Avicularia Metallica" Sounds cool right?
She is beautiful. Can spiders be beautiful???















































Meet Ebeneezer. He was my Christmas Present from my boy.
Ebie is a Curly hair tarantula.
I think the official name is "Brachypelma Albopilosa"

We have been feeding this one WAY too much.

This here spider is a Brazillian Black tarantula, or "Grammostola pulchra"
